Course content
Current theoretical approaches to the life cycle of knowledge management. Critical success factors of knowledge management implementation. Current possibilities of knowledge management evaluation. Knowledge assets and intellectual capital of the organization. Organizational learning and organizational memory and their role in knowledge processes. The influence of knowledge management on the financial performance of the organization. The influence of knowledge management on the innovation performance of the organization. Knowledge systems (tools to support knowledge creation, acquisition and sharing). Determinants of knowledge systems implementation. The impact of knowledge technologies on the efficiency of knowledge processes.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the current state of knowledge in the field of knowledge management, its currently developing theories, empirical studies and research problems on the border of the course.
Students will gain knowledge on current approaches to knowledge management. They will also be able to design systems for knowledge management support.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Self project defence

Students will work on a project in the scope of a scientific journal paper. The topic of the paper will be related to the dissertation thesis.
