The subject deepens the knowledge int he field of mathematical description of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes and shows the possibilities of using of mathematical models and suitable PC programs to predict the drug concentration in vivo and to individualize the drug dosing. Particularly, the comparmental procedures of the pharmacokinetic analysis, non-compartmental methods for estimating of pharmacokinetic parameters, factors determinig the response of organism to the drug, and correlation in vitro/in vivo are discussed. Various types of an empirical, semiempirical pharmacokinetic models, deterministic ans stochastic compartmental models are discussed in more detail.
