The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the physical properties of protective organic and inorganic coatings in relation to their chemical composition. Attention is focused on basic physico-chemical knowledge of polymeric materials and controlled influence of their properties. This knowledge is necessary for chemists in the formulation of protective coatings with regard to their optimal use in technical practice.
The graduate is well versed in physical chemistry of coatings.
