Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basic concepts and technologies used in prepress. The course also aims to teach students how to work with applications commonly used in printing practice in the preparation and editing of raster and vector graphics.
After completing the course, the student understands the basics of prepress preparation, the technologies used in it, the basics of colour management. They can also work in industry-specific software products for the preparation and editing of raster and vector graphics. The student is able to prepare graphics in a quality adequate for print production.

Prerequisites
|
At least a basic knowledge of English and the ability to work actively with computer technology is suitable.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment
The basic condition for completing the course is the preparation of a term paper. During the exam, theoretical knowledge, practical knowledge of working with the taught software products and the quality of the submitted term paper are evaluated.
