Course content
The seminar follows-up the Advances in Printing Technology I classes and extend them with self directed study of foreign publications. Lectures given by experts from printing industry about innovations in the branch of graphic arts and special technologies. Presentations given by students on selected topics from modern graphic arts.

Learning outcomes
The course aims to develop intellectual and creative skills -based on self directed study of foreign papers and journals and brochures students are asked to prepare brief oral presentation on selected topics of modern graphic arts. The lectures are designed to prepare the students for the presentation of the bachelor work during school leaving examination.
On completion of this module the student will be able to work with foreign-language papers interrogate and evaluate published sources and based on them prepare a brief seminar presentation of appropriate form for their fellows.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge one of the world languages (English, German or French) is required. Students should be able to understand of the content of scientific and technical foreign texts. Knowledge of the presentation (dataprojector) programs.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Oral performance analysis

This module will be assessed through (i) an translation on selected foreign-language (Germany, English) articles into Czech (or Slovak) language (40%) in the length of 8-10 pages (accuracy of the translation, terminology, content, used language, layout and typography); (ii) current checks (20%); (iii) and a seminar presentation (40% content, layout ability to discuss about the presented issue)
