Course content
Main methods applied in practise of the language are group discussions, presentations of students and role playing games. 1. týden Introduction 2. týden Prepress - Colour Profiles (role-playing game) 3. týden Job Application, CV and Motivation letter (group discussion) 4.-5. týden Print EXPO I (presentation) 5. týden Print EXPO II (presentation) 6. týden Added Value (presentation) 7. týden New Machine (group discussion) 8. týden New Operator (role-playing game) 9. týden Customer Complaints and Non-Payers (role-playing game) 10. týden Postpress - Perfect Binding (role-playing game) 11. týden Printing Problems in Offset (group discussion) 12. týden Postpress - Addressing in Labelling (role-playing game) 13. týden Own Presentations About a Selected Technique (presentation)

Learning outcomes
The module develops an English language knowledge and communication skills in the area of graphic arts.
On completion of this module the student should gain sufficient knowledge to be able to make a business and interact with foreign customers and acquire fundamental skills and vocabulary that will help them in presentation of their work at international conferences.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of English is required. Participants should be able to read simple text, exchange information and understand the main points of spoken language. Basic vocabulary related to printing techniques.

Assessment methods and criteria
Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment, Presentation

Student are allowed to skip max. 2 lectures. All students are obliged to be present at lectures related to: Job Application, CV and Motivation letter, Print EXPO, Added Value, Own Presentations About a Selected Technique. Student will pass after submitting all necessary documents to above mentioned topics and after presentation of selected topics.
