Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
Learning outcomes
The course introduces students to the most important principles and facts in the field of composite materials and in the field of adhesives and bonded joints. The student will gain a basic orientation and understanding of the context in the field of composite materials and in the field of bonding. The course describes types of composites, types of fibers and polymer matrices, utility properties, testing, production, processing and applications of composite materials. The course also introduces students to types of adhesives, issues of bonded joints and the area of additives affecting the processing and utility properties of polymer composites and adhesives.
After completing the course, the student will be able to navigate the complex field of composite materials and the area of bonded joints.
Prerequisites
Macromolecular chemistry, Fundamentals of industrial polymer production, Fundamentals of polymer and composite processing.

Assessment methods and criteria
