1st week Basic terms in the printing industry. History and development of printing and printing techniques. 2nd week Requirements for printed material. Printing papers - history and distribution. 3rd week Printing papers - properties. Aging and degradation of the paper backing. 4th week Prepress preparation, typographic system, typesetting, fonts. 5th week Print point, rasterization, additive and subtractive color mixing, color attributes, color spaces, image meshing. 6th week Printing from the desktop - basic concepts, history, characteristics, distribution. 7th week Offset printing - principle, machinery. 8th week Printing from depth - basic concepts, history, characteristics, distribution. 9th week Screen printing. Week 10 Printing from a height - basic concepts, history, characteristics, distribution. 11th week Printing from a height. 12th week Digital printing. 13th week Pad printing, inkjet printing. 3D printing.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject builds on knowledge from the subject of paper production technology, especially the production of paper packaging. It introduces students to materials based on paper, cardboard and plastics and their possible printing methods using various methods.
