Course content
1. týden: Introduction, definition of polymers, composites, textiles and coatings. 2. týden: Additives for polymers. Criteria and selection of additives for polymers. Categorisation and examples of additives. 3. týden: Composites. New materials and procedures for composites. 4. týden: New materials and procedures for polymers, textiles and coatings. 5. týden: Reactions for creations of basic polymers. 6. týden: Modification of surfaces. Novel polymers for fibres and textile materials. 7. týden: Principles for the formulation of paints. Types of paint binders. 8. týden: Properties of solvent based paints, composition, applications, examples. 9. týden: Water-based paints -latexes, epoxy resins, polyurethanes, polyaspartates, etc. Advances in water-based paints. 10. týden: Selection of paint systems for specific applications. 11. týden: Technological parameters and requirements put on pigments and fillers in the paint and coatings industry 12. týden: Properties of metal surfaces in terms of cleaning, treatment and functional coatings. 13. týden: Examples of new solvent-based and water-based paint formulations.
