Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to give the basic concept about physical processes, which can be encountered in equipment for chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries.
After this course, the student is able to orient in the basic computational methods to solve the selected unit operations. Beside, he is qualified to make decision on the conditions leading to simplified solutions. Passing this course is the necessary condition for the study of "Chemical engineering II" and "Diffusion processes".
Prerequisites
Mathematics I, Physics I, Basic physical chemistry

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

There is an oral examination. The primary form is a debate about selected themes. The level of acquired knowledge, conceptions and application acquirements is examined. Knowledge is examined by a test during the semestr and its result is included into the total classification.
