Course content
1st week: Introductory training, work safety, familiarization with laboratory equipment, movement and work in the laboratory. 2nd week: Wastewater decolouration, application of UV-VIS spectroscopy 3rd week: Sewage treatment with oil content. 4th week: Phosphorus removal from model municipal wastewater. 5th week: Hydrometallurgical extraction of Zn from waste zinc chloride batteries. Week 6: Hydrometallurgical extraction of Mn from waste batteries Zn / MnO batteries. 7th week: Electrodeposition of zinc from wastewater. 8. Waste treatment, refining of precious metals, copper cementation. 9th week: Thermal decontamination of rubble containing organic pollutant. 10th week: Technology of contaminated soil washing, decontamination and cleaning of washing waters. 11th week: Adsorption of pollutants on solid sorbents. Week 12: Alternative week for missing students. 13th week: Final examination, evaluation and completion of laboratory exercises.

Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of decontamination technologies. We cannot go off the road, but we can simulate a decontamination or recycling process on a laboratory scale. After all, it is interesting to observe its course depending on the surrounding conditions ...
Basic competence for work in chemical laboratory.

In addition to preparing for a particular laboratory task, laboratory exercises do not require specific prerequisites.
