Course content
Introduction, systém of environment. Global environmental problems, state of the environment in CZ. Economy and environment, historical background. Contexture and composition Earth, endogenous and exogenous factors. Rice and development of soils, quality of soil, damage and pollution of soil. Agriculture and its impact on the quality of soil, application of fertilizers and pesticides, animal production. Water and water service - the allocation of water on the Earth, the water cycle-quantitative and qualitative influence. Construction and composition of atmosphere. The development of air quality, impacts of air pollution on the elements of the environment. Nature protection and landscape protection,categorization of protected areas. Protection of mineral resources and the effects of extracting minerals on components of the environment. Population, transport, towns and recreation in relation to the basic functions of the landscape. The structure of government in the environment, an overview of the basic legislation.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
Learning outcomes
Students should familiarize with basic component of environment and situation in environment in ČR. Part of this subject is prediction progress of environmental component and risk elimination for environment.
Students get basic overview about environmental components.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of ecology in the scope secondary schools education.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Continuous knowledge test, final written test.
