Learning outcomes
|
The main aim of the subject is to explain how the toxic substances interact with organism on organ, cellular and biochemical level. The validity of above mentioned principles is then demonstrated on examples of specific substances.
After completing the course, the students understand the role of various parameters influencing the transport and transformation of toxic substances in the human body, they are able to estimate the biochemical mechanisms of toxic effect of selected groups of chemical substances, they are aware of the ways in which toxicological informations are acquired and processed, they understand the general term from risk assessment and risk management
