Course content
Week 1: Legislation related to environmental protection. Week 2: Overview of the structure and performance of state administration. Week 3: Legislation and state administration based on environmental law. Week 4: Legislation and state administration in the area of EIA and IPPC. Week 5: Legislation and state administration in the field of water management. Week 6: Legislation and state administration in the field of air protection. Week 7: Legislation and state administration in the field of nature and landscape protection. Week 8: Legislation and state administration in the field of agricultural land and forestry protection. Week 9: Legislation and state administration in the field of rock environment protection. Week 10: Legislation and state administration in the field of waste management. Week 11: Legislation and state administration in the field of genetically modified organisms. Week 12: Main international conventions in the field of environmental protection. Week 13: Ecological policy of the European Community

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to create a basic idea of the legal regulation of individual components of the environment and the organization of state administration in the field of the environment. The course completes the complex environmental issues presented in the subjects Ecology and Environmental Fundamentals.
After completing the course, the student is able to orientate in the issues of legal regulation of individual components of the environment and in the organization of state administration in the field of environmental protection and creation. Basic legal service in the field of environment is provided for further activities of the graduate.
