Course content
1) Introduction to the topic - project, team, project documentation 2) Formulation of the primary project aim, state of art analysis - review of the literature and other relevant information sources - seminar on available information sources at the University Library of the University of Pardubice. 3) Finalization of specific project goals based on the assessed state of art - preparation of the relevant part of the project documentation 4) Submission of the first part of the project documentation and consultation with the academic project leader, addressing feedback 5) Formulation of particular project work packages, formulation of partial goals and their justification, delegation of specific tasks in the preparation and implementation processes 6) Means and tools for project implementation, adjustment of project goals and work packages in relation to available technical resources 7) Project timeline, adjustment of project goals and work packages in relation to the time demands of individual steps, preparation of the second part of the project documentation 8) Project budget, adjustment of project goals and work packages in relation to the financial demands of individual steps 9) Preparation of a detailed project budget - consultation 10) Verification of the feasibility of practical project goals - Pilot Study I - focus on technical resources 11) Verification of the feasibility of practical project goals - Pilot Study II - focus on time demands 12) Verification of the feasibility of practical project goals - Pilot Study III - focus on budget 13) Presentation of the project plan at the final colloquium

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the process of planning a practical project in the field of sustainability. Emphasis will be placed particularly on the preparatory phases of the project, similar to those required when applying for grant support. During the course, students will learn about team formation and role distribution, problem formulation and state of art analysis, setting partial project goals and formulating work packages, creating a timeline, securing tools for project implementation, budgeting, project documentation creation, peer review processes, and addressing comments.
As part of the course, the student will acquire basic knowledge and skills that will enable them to prepare a practical project in the field of sustainability. They will be able to formulate and plan the key phases of the project and present the supporting documentation for peer review.
