To introduce the student to the broad spectrum of chemical-engineering operations used in inorganic technologies, from preprocessing of raw materials, through dispersion and mixing, flow of fluids and suspensions, to separation processes for intermediate and final products (filtration, settling). The attention will also be given to heat operations (heat transfer mechanisms, heat exchangers, evaporation, drying). Within the subject the knowledge will be enlarged with physico-chemical aspects of the processes, design methods of particular equipment and optimization of their operation from chemical-engineering point of view.
