Course content
|
Nomenclature of organic compounds. Chemical bond in organic molecules. Stereochemistry of organic molecules. Principles of reaction mechanisms. Reaction of alkanes, alkenes, dienes. Reaction of alkynes, arenes, basic heteroarenes. Reaction of halogenederivatives and organometallic compounds. Reaction of alcoholes, phenoles, and ethers. Reaction of aldehydes and ketones. Reaction of substituted carbonyl compounds and chinones. Reaction of carboxylic acids and their functional derivatives. Nitrocompounds, nitrosocompounds, oximes, hydroxylamines, hydrazines, and amines. Diazonium salts, diazoalkanes, sulfur sompounds. Carbonic acid derivatives.

Learning outcomes
|
The main aim of the course unit is to get up the knowledges of general principles of organic chemistry and their application on chemical properties of basic types of organic compounds.
Knowledge in procedures for prediction of chemical properties of organic compounds.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge in basic organic chemistry within the scope of high school course, knowledge of inorganic chemistry within the scope of the former course.

Oral examination
Basic general and inorganic chesmistry.
