Learning activities and teaching methods |
Laboratory work |
Learning outcomes |
Students having finished this course have to know fundamental operations and processes in organic synthesis and are able to use this knowledge to carry out simple preparation. Consequently students are acquainted with the rules of safe work in laboratory, following the hygienic rules, ecological handling with different types of waste and possibilities of recycling of waste and first aid.
Having finished this course students are able independently do even more demanding synthesis of organic compounds. They are able to do synthesis under inert atmosphere. They are able to purify and identify gained products. They are familiar with the rule of safe work and handling of waste. |
Prerequisites |
Elementary knowledge of mechanisms of executed reactions. Knowledge of elementary laboratory techniques.
