Topics of lectures after weeks of semester: 1. Correct creation of presentations. Principles. Using Powerpoint. 2. Excel: Sorting and filtering database data. 3. Excel: Creating lists and summaries in Excel. 4. Excel: PivotTables and graphs, reports. 5. Excel: Formulas, functions, links. Connection with other MS Office products. Conditional statements. 6. Excel: Formatting cells and tables, printing, graphs, drawing. Cyclic links. 7. Excel: Sensitivity analysis, scenarios. The solver. Approximate methods. Data Analysis Module. 8. Excel: Using the Solver. Linear programming, optimization problems. 9. Excel: Creating custom functions and macros in Visual Basic. 10. Word: Documents. Styles, inclusion of objects. Templates. 11. Word: Syllabus, index, content. 12. Word: Cross-references, footnotes, bookmarks. 13. Word: Forms, mass correspondence.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to improve the use of text editor MS Word so that the student is able to independently create large professional documents (bachelor's, diploma theses) that meet the relevant standards and which contain all the relevant structures. Improve in the use of a spreadsheet editor for processing and evaluation of experimental data of various kinds using all the tools offered by MS Excel. The course is focused on practical practice of these skills.
After completing the course, the student demonstrates knowledge of the use of a spreadsheet editor for processing especially numerical data. He is able to create professional texts in accordance with applicable standards.
