Course content
1. Conditions for passing the course. University Library Services. 2. Introduction to the subject, basic terminology. 3. Document description. Citation ethics, creation of citations. 4. History of libraries. 5. Library system. Library catalogs. 6. Searching the Internet. 7. Secondary information sources. 8. Primary information sources. 9. Information resources for ICT. 10. Corporate, economic and legal information. 11. Standards and patents. 12. Copyright and Creative Commons. Final university theses. 13. Search. In the case of distance learning, lessons will be tought trough MS Teams. Lessons will be at the time shown in the timetable. MS Teams is equivalent to participation and or attendens in lectures and excersises.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to teach students to use library and information services and electronic information resources, especially in the field of computer science and electrical engineering, independently and effectively; know citation standards and be able to apply them.
After completing the course, the student will be document literate, i.e. able to solve a "specific information problem". He/she will be able to select appropriate information sources for the given topic, search for relevant information in them, conduct research and correctly cite the sources used. He will be able to justify and defend his procedures.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Work-related product analysis

Submission of the task solutions. The assessment will be done during a semester, for revision submissions the same or during examination period. There is a course-credit test at the end of a semester.
