Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Methods of individual activities, Demonstration, Skills training, Laboratory work
Learning outcomes
The course provides to students essential knowledge of data transmission theory. The course content is an overview of the basic computer networks knowledges and the main network technologies.
Passing the CCNA1 course is a prerequisite for continuing the following-up Computer Networks II to IV. A graduate of the Computer Networks I-IV series will receive internationally valid Cisco Networking Academy certificates.
Prerequisites
The orientation in Unix and Windows operating systems.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

The student attendance on all practice courses is necessitated. Students with CCNA courses can ask for individual access. On the credit test the students have to present the courses knowledges. The exam is based on theoretical knowledges presented on the lectures.
