Course content
|
Introduction to the subject - legal system, sources of law, legal norms, legal relations. Law of obligations - electronic contracting. Legal forms of business in the Czech Republic. Labor relations of an employee in IT. Protection of personal data. Protection of trade secrets and confidential information, confidentiality agreement. E-government - electronic state administration. Software Law - Definitions and rights to software and its protection. Copyright - content of copyright, use of the work, employee and school work. License and license agreement. Internet law. Copyright and criminal means of software protection. In the case of distance learning, lessons will be tought trough MS Teams. Lessons will be at the time shown in the timetable. MS Teams is equivalent to participation and or attendens in lectures and excersises.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to gain an orientation in the system of law and the legal order of the Czech Republic, including the sources of European Union law. Students will be acquainted with selected areas of private and public law with emphasis on gaining practical knowledge of electronic contracting, electronic public administration, protection of personal data, trade secrets and software, the basics of copyright and software licensing, business conditions and labor relations in IT, all with a focus on information technology and software protection.
Basic orientation in the system of Czech law with emphasis on Internet and software law, electronic contracting and eGovernment.
