1.-13. Web application development

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Demonstration, Skills training

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to work on a year-long project individually or in a team, during which students practically acquire the technological framework taught in the given year of study. The result of the year-long project is a web application on a given topic. As part of the process of working on the year-long project, students solve partial professional topics based on a specific assignment with the teacher in a seminar.
After completing the course, students demonstrate knowledge in the field of field of web application development. After completing the course, students become familiar with the given professional terminology, understand the architectural principles of web application design, and have the basic knowledge of development workers in the context of ensuring the supply of specialized software for the web environment.

Assessment methods and criteria
Self project defence

Active work in teaching hours. Credit will be awarded for the preparation and defense of a semester thesis. The subject of the semester thesis is a fully functional application according to the student's own assignment (the proposed assignment must be approved by the course guarantor). The scope of application processing is determined individually after consultation with the course guarantor. Mandatory components of the semester project output: SRS (Software Requirements Specification), SDD (Software Design Document), application source codes, user and administrator manual, A4 product sheet. Everything is published to the course guarantor in the github.com repository. Credit will be awarded after the successful presentation of the project output and the settlement of all comments from the course guarantor. It is possible to present the application only after submitting all mandatory components of the project.
