Course content
Information and communication technologies in tourism: - importance of e-tourism, - mobile Internet and mobile data technologies (2G, 3G, 4G), - wireless data technologies (Bluetooth, WiFi, etc.), - mobile devices (smartphone, tablet, etc.), - location and identification technologies (GPS, Galileo and NFC, RFID, QR-codes), - information systems and applications (GIS and geosocial networks like Facebook places, Google latitude, Foursquare, etc.).

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Projection
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to get students acquainted with current methods and trends of using information and communication technologies in tourism.
Deeper knowledge of information and communication technologies and its resources used in tourism.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of informatics and tourism.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Presentation

Knowledge of information and communication technologies used in tourism. Active attendance, creating of own project on given topic.
