Course content
Introduction to new media and communication: - importance of actual new media and mass media - character and changes of new media and mass media - Internet as phenomena, trend of mobility - mobile Internet over mobile data technologies (2G, 3G, 4G) or wireless data technologies (Bluetooth, WiFi, etc.), - new media and new mobile devices (smartphone, tablet, etc.) with location and identification technologies (GPS, Galileo and NFC, RFID, QR-codes), - information systems and applications (GIS and geosocial networks like Facebook places, Google latitude, Foursquare, etc.). - relevance and riscs of shared information

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to get students acquainted with new media and methods and trends of communication using actual information and communication technologies.
Deeper knowledge of new media and communication and its resources.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of informatics and media.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Presentation

Knowledge of information and communication technologies. Active attendance, creating of own project on given topic.
