Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquire the necessary knowledge about flows and functions of financial resources which go through various types of public budgets, to obtain the knowledge about problems of fiscal sustainability and to evaluate relevant impacts of public finance on the national economy and the individual subjects.
A student who has successfully completed the course can: to characterize the system of budgets and the interrelationships between individual public budgets and special funds; to characterize sources of public budget revenues, including their strengths and weaknesses; to characterize relevant expenditures of public budgets and describe their development tendencies; to describe approaches for evaluation the efficiency in terms of public expenditures; to characterize public debt issues and explain the possible ways for managing public finance; A student who has successfully completed the course can: to distinguish between public budgets and special funds and to perceive their impact on the subjects of the national economy; to analyze the impacts of public budgets and special funds on the subjects of the national economy, to use the selected methods for evaluation of efficiency of public finance; to analyze the possible ways for solving public budget debt; The student who has successfully completed the course is able to: take the opinion on current economic issues at national level; communicate in a clear and convincing way information on the potential impacts of implemented policies at EU level to experts and laymen and present their own views on possible solutions.
