Learning outcomes
Aim of the Subject - to reveal principles of international economic cooperation and its impacts on each country; to characterize the most important groupings; to analyse the development and economic situation in the European Union.
Student, who successfully finish the subject, can: - explain the importance of international trade for economy of the country; - characterize important international trade theories; - explain theoretical background of trade policy; - characterize important international organization of economic nature; - characterize the European Union; - explain benefits and negatives of globalization; - explain benefits and negatives of integration and disintegration tendencies. Student, who successfully finish the subject, can: - interpret different international trade theories and their relevance in current world; - orientate in decision making processes in the European Union; - orientate in economy of the European Union; - interpret different approaches to monetary integration, its benefits and negatives; - interpret different opinions on integration and disintegration processes, their benefits and negatives. Student, who successfully finish the subject, is able: - clearly and convincingly communicate both with experts and laics about professional problems from international trade and about his own opinion on the international trade development; - clearly and convincingly communicate both with experts and laics about processes and functioning of the European Union and about his own opinion on its functioning; - clearly and convincingly communicate both with experts and laics about integration and disintegration processes and about his own opinion on them.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge about macroeconomics and economic policy.
