Course content
Management principles and functions. Fundamentals functions of management - planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling. Continuous managerial functions, analysis, decision making and implementation. Management theory evolution; western schools of management. Planning - basics, objectives, hierarchies of plans. Strategic processes. Organizing - basics, objectives. Organizational structures. Organizational documents. Staffing - human resources preparation, staff selection, career problems. Staff assessments. Leadership - motivation, Types of leadership. Controlling - basics, objectives. Types and fazes of controlling processes. Feedback and feedforward. Decision making - basics, principles, objectives, phases. Risks and suspense. Managerial games. International and comparative management. Management for 21st century and new chosen managerial accesses.

Learning outcomes
This course is at the beginning oriented to the basic concepts, principles and also to historical review of this discipline. Main part of this course presents functions as planning together with decision making and prognostics, organizing, human resources, leadership and controlling. At the end the main characteristics of the international management and approaches of management for 21st century are shown.
Graduates of the course will receive basic theoretical knowledge in the field of planning, including decision-making and forecasting, organization, personnel, management and control, with the possibility of applications for management positions in the private and public sector.

Assignment: - seminar work (submitted and accepted) - 75% seminars attendance Exam: - written or oral or both
