Course content
Communication as a social phenomenon (meaning, changes in forms of communication, stakeholder organizations) Relationship intelligence and creative communication in the workplace (listening skills, brainstorming, mind map, Ice-breaker) Emotional intelligence and crisis communication in the workplace (the art of handling emotions, conflict management) Communication and presentation skills (moderation, moderation, discussion) Internal communication - written forms (personal documents, organization of correspondence, archiving and security, possibilities of new technologies) External communication - communication within supplier-customer relations Communication with the customer (establishment, maintenance and termination of contact, complaint procedure) Communication with the public (the nature of public relations, the possibility of using the mass media to influence the public) Media relations Content analysis of media Communication in a crisis situation for an organization when its image is threatened Use of new technologies for public relations Selected cases of communication studies

Learning outcomes
The main aim of the course is to provide up-to-date information about possibilities and pitfalls of communication within the company and its surroundings. Simultaneously practice and build communication softskils of students.
A student who has successfully completed the course can: explain the importance of communication and its forms in the organization and its surroundings, the importance of building long-term relationships with stakeholders; use Ice-breaker games to create the right atmosphere (eg, meeting, engaging new members in the team); explain the opportunities arising from relationships with the media; describe the issues of crisis communication and the steps leading to the lowest possible impact on the organization's image; enumerate and explain the basic concepts and terms related to the communication of organizations. A student who has successfully completed the course will: orientate in opportunities arising from the organization (media, customers, competitors, general public, etc.) and propose appropriate communication procedures; comprehensibly interpret the concepts and terminology associated with communication; lead a consultation, creative workshop, moderate a discussion, communicate in a complaint procedure; work efficiently with your emotions and manage conflict situations; create, store and use personnel documents using new technologies. A student who has successfully completed the course is able to: make independent and responsible decisions on the basis of a framework assignment on appropriate communication steps, to coordinate team activities within the framework of a common project according to the framework assignment and allocated resources, include consideration of their ethical dimension in problem solving, communicate comprehensively and convincingly to professionals and lay people about the nature of professional problems and their own opinion on their solution.
