Introduction to the issue of internal security and public order. Management and organization in the field of internal security and public order. Security planning. Fire Rescue Brigade firefighters and civic associations. Role of the Police in maintaining public order. Prevention of criminality. Emergency Medical Service. Army of the Czech Republic. Municipal police a private security services. Intelligence services. Customs Administration, the prison service and GIBS. Foreign police and International cooperation of Police.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive idea of internal security issues in the current security environment. Emphasis is placed on the complexity of the approach to internal security, the definition of duties, competencies, and responsibilities of its individual components.
A student who has successfully completed the course can: to define the basic concepts of internal security and public order and to characterize the arrangement and links within the security system of the Czech Republic; describe the relations between the ministries ensuring internal security and public order; explain the issues of security planning and focus of planning documents; to characterize the scope and tasks of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, voluntary fire brigades, Police of the Czech Republic, emergency medical services, Army of the Czech Republic, municipal police, private security services, intelligence services, Customs Administration of the Czech Republic, General Inspection of Security Forces, Alien Police; describe the financing of internal security and public order; explain organizational links enabling international cooperation of the Czech Police. A student who has successfully completed the course can: be familiar with applicable internal security legislation; to comprehensively interpret the results of analyzes aimed at assessing the security situation of selected regions and propose measures to improve the security situation; The student who has successfully completed the course is able to: independently and responsibly propose solutions to model situations based on a framework assignment; to include a consideration of their ethical dimension in solving problems; to communicate in a clear and convincing way to professionals and lay people information on the nature of professional issues and their own opinion on their solution.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation
Successful completion of the course is conditional on completion of assignment and completion of the written and oral parts of the exam. The assignment conditions: passing a written test (minimum requirement is 65 %). The exam is in a combined form.
