Course content
Students will work in teams, each receiving one real-world case assigned by collaborating representatives of large corporations. They will continuously address the assigned problem, propose solutions, and consult with academics and practitioners, culminating in a colloquial presentation of their solutions at the end of the semester. The examples of the seminar topics: - Launching an online innovation platform for a global startup accelerator, supporting international collaboration and the sharing of ideas. - Designing a social innovation project to improve the ESG image of the global supply chain. - Implementing circular economy principles into the product life cycle of a multinational company. - Designing a hybrid work model for a global company, considering cultural differences and productivity. - Optimizing a sustainable international supply chain: A project focused on reducing carbon footprints, enhancing transparency, and increasing sustainability. - Digital transformation of a traditional SME expanding into foreign markets: Creating a modern strategy that integrates innovation, IT tools, and international growth. - Blockchain for tracking the authenticity and origin of goods: Leveraging modern technologies to combat counterfeiting and enhance the credibility of global supply chains. - VR training for international sales teams: An innovative project applying virtual reality to the education and development of global business skills. This course can also be substituted with a semester-long internship in a selected company, where assigned tasks will be addressed by the company's management during the semester. The internship may also be conducted outside the Czech Republic.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course "Project in Business Administration" is to develop students' comprehensive understanding of project management principles and practices within an international business context. The course emphasizes the practical application of project management tools and methodologies, preparing students to independently initiate, execute, and lead projects in diverse organizational settings. It aims to bridge academic knowledge with business practice, fostering the skills and experience essential for success in dynamic, global business environments.
In the course "Project in Business Administration", students will develop a comprehensive understanding of project management principles and practices in an international business context. They will engage in practical exercises that emphasize teamwork, strategic planning, and effective communication. Throughout the course, students will enhance their competencies in problem-solving and decision-making, enabling them to analyse real-world business challenges. Additionally, they will gain valuable experience in utilizing project management tools and methodologies, preparing them for successful careers in various business sectors. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the essential skills needed to initiate, execute, and manage projects effectively in any organizational context.
Prerequisites
Ability to use MS Office products at least at a basic level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Home assignment evaluation, Self project defence, Presentation

In the case of completing a team project: - Active participation in classes and teamwork. - Completion of a team project based on an assignment provided by a cooperating organization. - Final presentation of the project results (colloquium). - Submission of a written project report. In the case of completing the course through an internship: - Regular consultation with the course supervisor regarding the progress of the internship. - Submission of a report on the tasks assigned by the company. - Expert evaluation of the internship outcomes by the responsible person in the company.
