Course content
Definition of basic concepts - corporate culture and its goals, corporate identity, corporate integrity. Elements, resources, structure, content and strength of corporate culture. Typology of corporate culture. Creation and change of corporate culture - diagnostics and analysis of corporate culture. Corporate culture and strategy - strategic management and its importance in the company, the influence of culture on strategy, the influence of strategy on corporate culture. Corporate culture as a tool for leading people - motivation and commitment. Corporate culture and performance - the influence of the content and strength of corporate culture on performance. Corporate culture and responsible management - the role of corporate ethics and innovation in corporate culture, means to gain a good reputation. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) and its connection with corporate culture - principles, pillars, CSR methods. Benefits and importance of the application of CSR in practice.

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to lead students to understand the importance of corporate culture for running and managing companies, for the motivation and involvement of employees, but also the overall performance.
A student who has successfully completed the course can: characterize basic concepts in the field of corporate culture, explain the importance of employee motivation for a positive corporate culture, name the responsibilities and possibilities of the manager in the field of corporate culture formation, explain the importance of formulating codes of ethics and the pitfalls of their implementation, formulate the benefits and importance of ethical business management and the introduction of CSR, explain the connection between corporate culture and responsible management. A student who has successfully completed the course will be able to: analyze and diagnose the culture of the company in terms of its type, identify the factors on which culture can be positively developed. A student who has successfully completed the course is able to: include in the solution of problems a consideration of their origin based on an inappropriate corporate culture, clearly and convincingly communicate to experts and lay people information about the nature of professional problems and their own opinion on their solution.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

Assignment: active participation in solving case studies and assigned tasks in seminars, elaboration of semester work on a given topic in a team. Examination: written or oral verification of acquired knowledge.
