Course content
Organisations, legal forms of organisations. Property and capital structure. Purchase and supply activities in the organisation Production, production capacity calculations, efficiency and productivity. Sales and sales activities in the organisation. Cost and cost functions. Calculations, kinds of calculations. Relationships between fundamental economic quantities. Investment efficiency assessment. Enterprise funding, financial analysis. Controlling and audit.

Learning outcomes
The subject matter is to familiarise students with basic concepts and processes in the areas of entrepreneurship and public administration, further clarifying the underlying economic quantities and the interrelationships between them.
A student who has successfully completed a subject can: Characterise a business, its legal forms, cooperation and association of economic operators, explain basic processes related to business realities, in particular the supply, production and disposal of products and services, characterise the assets and capital of the business, its structure and record-keeping, explain basic economic quantities with and relationships between areas of the corporate economy, characterise investment, financial and control activities and processes in the business. A student who has successfully completed a course can: Navigate basic legal documents relating to the establishment and operation of different legal forms of the business, navigate basic accounting documents characterising the financial situation in the business, assess the efficiency of in-house processes and the use of input resources, evaluate the performance of the business as a whole and its individual parts using financial indicators, evaluate investment projects based on the use of adequate methods. A student who has successfully completed a course is able to: Use knowledge of business processes and activities to solve professional problems, evaluate the economic situation in the selected organisation.

Credit: Active participation in exercises, passing a credit test. Examination: written or oral with written preparation. Knowledge and understanding of the substance is required.
