Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to build up basic knowledge of decision-making, theory in particular sense of support methods. The theoretical foundation is knowledge in mathematics and statistics. The subject introduces the basics of decision-making, and focuses on the principles of decision support. Content is a description of phenomena and objects, and in particular single-criterion and multicriterial evaluation methods, programming and decision-making under uncertainty. A separate part builds group decision-making, decision-making in public administration and public choice. Emphasis is placed on the interpretation of management methods.
A student will be able to address the decision-making role for certainty and uncertainty on the basis of mathematical models. The student gains general knowledge of group decision-making and specific knowledge of public elections and decision-making in public administration.
