Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with basic knowledge of decision making theory especially the importance of supportive methods. The course follows up with Management and assumes theoretical knowledge of mathematics and statistics. The course acquaints the students with essentials of decision making theory, furthermore, it focuses on principles of decision making support. It describes phenomena and objects, one- and especially multi-criteria evaluation, methods of multi-criteria programming and decision making under uncertainty. Separate part is devoted to group decision making, decision making in public administration and public choice. The accent is put on managerial interpretation of methods.
A student will be able to solve decision-making problems under security and uncertainty on the basis of mathematical models. The student gains general knowledge of group decision-making and specific knowledge of public elections and decision-making in public administration.
