Course content
Importance of intangible goods protection in economics. Intellectual property, Industrial Property Office, patent attorneys, European patent system. Copyright law and related laws. Quotation and publishing. Copyright and copyleft of software, literary, musical and sound records and movies. Personal data and its protection. Computer and parallel criminality. Inventions, utility models and industrial designs. Trademarks, marks of origins, company, licence and company franchising. Know-how, goodwill, data, information and databases. Protection of other rights. Internet and electronic signature. International conventions. Ethic and complying with value protection rights, criminal responsibility.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to focus on the current legal situation so as not to unwittingly violated the existing protection of intellectual property.
Students learn to use detailed theoretical and practical knowledge on copyright, industrial property, patent law, trade mark law, utility and industrial designs. They will show mastery of methods and tools in the field of publishing on Internet, electronic signature, communicate ideas, problems and solutions as professionals, as well as the laity, on how to properly cite other authors, what is software piracy as well as international conventions relating to intellectual property.

Assessment methods and criteria
Home assignment evaluation, Creative work analysis, Didactic test

The assignment is granted upon completion of the following conditions: participation in a questionnaire investigation at FEA, completion of all assigned seminar papers, completion of the written assignment task (respectively test) with 60% success.
