Course content

Theoretical analysis of the location concepts. Technology and location behavior. Spatial and social aspects of corporate networks. New industry and new growth centers. Innovative environment. Polarization theory - the basic features. Sector polarization. Innovation concept - characteristics of the innovation process. Spatial differences in innovations. Business and social structure and innovation. The influence of internal and external conditions on business environment. Business environment and rationality.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge of the space theories as a summary of disciplines devoted to the study of spatial phenomena, processes and relationships in terms of status and operations in the region. Included is the characteristic of spatial economic arrangement with respect to localization, innovation, spatial networks, social and business structure. The influence of external and internal factors in the environment for business.
Students will be able to use various information and phenomena relating to the issue of the region and operate in the region.

Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation
The assignment is granted upon completion of the following conditions: attendance at seminars, completion and presentation of the seminar paper. Examination granting is conditioned by passing the final written or oral test.
