Course content
Human resources management, its task in a company, role and function of HR departments. Personal activities. Personal planning, evaluation of labour market conditions, estimate of labour need. Selection procedure, its methods, information evaluation. Employee development, career management and planning. Labour relations. Employee evaluation, aspects of job evaluation, forms and its use. Motivation, motivation theory, motivation to job performance. Further education of employees, analysis of education needs, selection of education activities. Remuneration, structure of wages. Employee care, social benefits and collective bargaining.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the problems of human resources management and its use in practice. Structure of the course includes all particular sequences of management and acquaints the students with the problems of personal behaviour and managerial skills. Main topics are presented within particular lectures, the accent is put on practical application using training methods in model situations. Furthermore, students will be introduced to the most recent knowledge of personal management and human behaviour in organizations.
Student will be able to apply methods of personnel planning, personnel, staff recruitment, staff development, employees evaluations and their remuneration.
Prerequisites
The course assumes knowledge of management at the undergraduate level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

The assignment is granted upon attendance at seminars and completion of the seminar paper on a given topic. The examination is both, written and oral.
