Course content
Introduction to the risk issue: definition of terms. Human factor in the risk issue Legal regulations for risk prevention Identification of hazard and risk analysis Risks in the business unit: sources of risks and their quantification. Safety and health protection of employees at work. Risk management system and methods for reducing risk of business activities. Business continuity management. Financial analysis in the risk management.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the field of risks. Emphasis is placed on risks that are tied to activities of business units and their management. Students will become familiar with some of the risks that arise from doing business, from extraordinary events, and some methods of risk analysis and risk management.
Students will be familiar with discussed issues of risk analysis, company health protection and safety policy at work. Student will be able to analyze individual activities and emergency situations and create plans and prepare appropriate action. He will be ready to tackle the overall security of company, including safety.
Prerequisites
Advantages are knowledge about base of security and protection of society and citizens, base financial analysis, and economics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Discussion

Assignment is granted for making all the tasks that teacher specifies. The examination consists in two parts. The oral exam will follow the successful completion of the written test (i.e. to get at least 60% of the points available).
