Course content
Basic terms, basic principles of spreadsheet utilization. Formatting. Adressing. Formulas and functions in MS Excel. Graphs. Long lists, filtering, pivot tables. Functions (logical, mathematical, searching, error). Text and data processing. Utilization of IF-functions.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Laboratory work
Learning outcomes
The goal is introduction to tools of MS Excel 2010 to a level that the student he was able to use effectively in practice.
Student will obtain and overview of all types of functions of MS Excel. Student will be able to chooce a proper function for solving given tasks. Student will be able to process data, long lists, create graphs and use other tools available in MS Excel.
Prerequisites
Basic skills of PC utilization and MS Excel. - principle of work in this product menu, configuration, help; - basic work with workbook, worksheet, range, column, row; - cell reference relative x absolute; - basic knowledge of work with formating cells; - selection of chart (graph) data, creation and simply edition of chart.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Systematic monitoring

Assignment: successful elaboration of given tasks (provided in Stag) and elaboration of practical tasks on PC. Detailed information will be provided during the first lecture and in Stag.
