What is a project? A basic concepts. Project management process. The definition of project objectives, the process of preparation of the project proposal. Project planning. The structure of the project activities. Time scheduling tools, Gantt diagram, CPM method, PERT. Estimating time. Working with resources. Monitoring the progress of the project, project monitoring. Completion of the project. Application (SW) for project management support (PC, mobile -iOS, Android)

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce the terminology of project management (PM) and the individual elements of behavioural, contextual and technical competences according to the IPMA methodology. Selected PM methods are directly practiced in teams on model situations.
The students will be aware of the contents of individual phases of project management, the main structure and key concepts in the project management area. They will be able to define the basic structure of tasks within the project and to use suitable software for project management.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination, Student performance assessment, Systematic monitoring
Assignment is conditional to attendance at seminars (at least 75%), completion of an exercise set at the seminar with a success rate of at least 60 %, and submission and presentation of the semester project as set. The exam will be oral and written. The final grade is made up of 40 % seminar and exercise, 60 % seminar work presentation and defence, as well as sufficient answers to examiner´s questions, written test.
