MS Word as a text processing tool: basic typographic rules; styles, headings, indexes and lists, inserting objects; working with revisions; design and creation of templates and forms; mail merge.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with tools that enable document processing and information presentation.
A student who has successfully completed the course can: apply basic typographic rules when formatting professional documents; create and formally format professional texts using styles, headings, indexes, and automated functions; insert and correctly format tables, images, and other objects within a text; work with revisions and comments in collaborative document editing; design and use templates, forms, and mail merge; critically evaluate the formal quality of professional texts. A student who has successfully completed the course can: follow typographic rules when creating documents; format a document in accordance with typographic conventions and identify potential deficiencies; create documents that use styles and templates; generate tables of contents and lists within documents; insert tables and illustrations into documents and edit them according to requirements; design the layout and structure of a document based on given rules. The student who has successfully completed the course is able to: communicating clearly and persuasively to both experts and non-experts information about the nature of professional problems and their own opinions on possible solutions; clearly summarizing the views of other team members and implementing them in the solution of a given problem.

Basic skills in PC, MS Excel and MS Word utilization. Principle of work in this product menu, configuration and help.

|
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Systematic monitoring
Course credit is awarded on the basis of completing the assigned tasks and meeting the point requirements in all required tests.
