Course content
Communication skills and managerial skills in social sciences. Typology of managerial communication. Styles and forms of managerial decision making. Presentation skills. Teamwork. Leadership. Time management. Coaching. Negotiation, Win-Win Negotiation. Management of meetings.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Demonstration, Skills training, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
  • Preparation for a credit (assessment) - 14 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquire the ability to communicate, communicate, discuss and understand the communication process in a broader context and further develop managerial skills with respect to different types of organizations and the level of leadership.
The student who has successfully completed the course know: define basic communication and managerial techniques related to social and working life; can recognize managerial communication from other types, then styles and forms of decision making; describe the basic theses of the concepts of leadrship, coaching, negotiation, decision-making; recognize purposeful presentations and can build them. The student who has successfully completed the course can: to communicate their opinions intelligibly, to manage different kinds of negotiations, to master the basics of motivation of working teams and individuals; controls the basics of effective negotiation and decision-making; reflect on the positive aspects of coaching and implement its potential involvement in work pract. The student who has successfully completed the course is able to: recognize different forms of communication and choose appropriate methods of communication with regard to the situation in which they use both verbal and nonverbal elements; teamwork and effective planning of your working time.

Credit will be given on the basis of fulfilling assigned tasks and activities in teaching. Furthermore, based on attendance according to the relevant faculty directive. Students will present individual skills on given topics to other colleagues and in the course of the credit discussion with the teacher advocate understanding the main theses of their topic.
