Course content
Social Standards and Conformity of an Individual in Group Interactions, Social Control. Theory of pathological behaviour. Psychological, social and economic contexts in behaviour and experience among members of minorities - stigmatization, similarity, etc. Aggressiveness. Social prevention. Selected themes of social pathology: homelessness, addiction to addictive substances, violence in the family, suicidal behaviour, sects, crime and delinquent behaviour.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge from theories of social pathology and access to various social minorities and groups that cross the boundaries of the norm and are often the source of various social problems.
The student who has successfully completed a subject can: to describe key concepts such as norm, conformance, control in the context of pathology theories; distinguish the basic types and means of prevention of pathological phenomena and understand their application to specific problems; describe the causes of selected pathological phenomena and understand their factual nature, including the determination of a company that has to cope with these phenomena, taking into account current events in this area in our country. The student who successfully completed the subject will: to define social and economic contexts in the behavior of marginalized groups; define the ethical nature of pathological phenomena with regard to the ways in which the selected issue is solved in our conditions. The student who successfully completed the subject is able to: to identify different forms of pathological behavior and to create models of solutions to individual situations (for example, he is able to find specific providers to help victims of domestic violence in a particular region); in the case of a problem situation in his personal or working life, the student is able to respond adequately to the citizen (for example, as a witness of violent conflict, stigmatization of people on the margins of society etc.).

The credit will be awarded on the basis of fulfilling assigned tasks and aktivity during lessons. Further on the basis of attendance according to the relevant directive of the faculty. Students will present the topics to other colleagues and will advocate understanding the main thesis of their topic. The primary platform for communications will be MS Teams and the materials will be available in Moodle.
