Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to raise the students' language skills to mastery, in regard to fluency as well as accuracy both in oral and written form. There is an emphasis on the development of speaking skills, usage of various means of language, and appropriate application within given situations.
Students will work on eliminating insufficiencies in fluency, accuracy, and appropriateness of expression and register. Though the underlying base of this course is formed by the Received Standard, students are also introduced to other varieties of the English language. This subjects aims to further develop students advanced-level English language skills and develop broader competencies in all forms of English communication, both from a formal and informal perspective.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Credit requirements: 1.Completion of classroom oral presentations. 2.Completion of an essay writing task. 3.Completion of an end-of-semester exam. Both syllabus and credit requirements are subject to change in particular circumstances. Standard university policy will be followed regarding absences. All texts required for classroom interaction will be supplied in class.
