Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the possibilities of using music in English language teaching. Throughout the course, students will try out, plan and in the role of a techer realize various types of exercises and activities related to music in ELT, focusing on the development of different aspects of communicative competence in English. An important part of the seminars is group singing in English.
Development of students' professional competence in lesson planning and delivery, classroom management, and reflection.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in classes (2 absences max.) Planning, implementation, and reflection of a 2 -3 mini-lessons focused on developing selected aspects of communicative competence in English through music, including a lesson plan, material didactic resources, and reflective tools. Familiarity with the core and chosen recommended literature. Group singing. Erasmus students reguirements: Planning and implementation of a coherent part of the lesson focused on a selected aspect of their native language (including material resources). Implementation in a 20-minute lesson.
