|
The aim of the course is to broaden the knowledge base of English language teachers, particularly in the areas of pedagogy, psychology, general and subject-specific didactics. This elective course allows students to supplement their knowledge in these areas in the scope of topics for the bachelor's state final exam Specialization in Pedagogy, which are key for studying in the master's program English Language Teaching. The course is intended for students who have not acquired this knowledge to the necessary extent in their previous bachelor's studies. The course is individualized; in cooperation with the teacher, the needs of each student are first diagnosed at the introductory meeting and a plan for independent study is created, which includes two individual consultations in addition to self-study.
The aim of the course is to expand the knowledge base of English language teaching, particularly in the areas of pedagogy, psychology, general and subject-specific didactics. A knowledge base is an essential prerequisite for the development of teaching competencies in accordance with the Competency Profile (Spilková et al., 2018).
