The seminar is devoted to developing practical translation skills. In the seminars, students work with a range of challenging specialized texts from various fields, with an emphasis on the diversity of functional styles. Textual analysis focuses both on the comparison of linguistic aspects and on terminological equivalence. Students deepen their text-handling abilities and language skills, while also drawing on their knowledge of both the source and target cultural contexts. They refine their intercultural communication skills in professional or corporate settings and cultivate their written expression in both English and Czech. Students may use artificial intelligence tools in accordance with the recommendations set out in the faculty directive "Rules for the Use of Generative AI Tools in Studies", provided that they predominantly use their own intelligence.
