Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
Students will develop previously acquired knowledge and level of communicative competence. The focus of the course is put on systematic development and widening of vocabulary and other language sub-skills applicable in business situations. Stress is put on development of communicative strategies crucial for common business situations and mastering language skills connected. Presenting and receptive skills required for work with academic texts will also be practised. The course also develops receptive skills, eg. work with academic text.
Students will be able to express themselves on a high language level on some economic subjects and will be able to explain basic economic terms in a foreign language.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Compulsory attendance at the seminars - 80%. Active participation, completion of set tasks (language accuracy necessary) and written test - specialised vocabulary, grammar and text.
