The objective of this course is to show the relation between esthetics and ethics, esthetics and philosophical anthropology, and the pedagogical meaning of esthetics as a subject that contributes to the cultivation of the life of modern people and to the revival of spiritual dimension in their existence. The history of the transformation of esthetics into an independent scholarly discipline that is focused on systematical creation of new terminology and methodology will be analyzed. A critique of the Romantic interpretation of esthetics from the 19th century will also be analyzed.
